Another "hooks" advertising that we "put our eyes" major photographic brands, is the zoom. As noted earlier (see post ), the zoom is a lens with a focal length variable. To facilitate understanding of the ability to approach these objectives, the nomenclature (number plus the letter X) example 2x, 24x ... meaning; 2x increases twice, 24x increases 24 times the original size ...
But there are two ways to increase or near (depending how you look), through a digital zoom or optical zoom. What is the difference? The Optical zoom is the image REAL increased through the lens of the optical (like a magnifying glass or binoculars, for example) and digital zoom is an image created by software that "invented" pixels based in the color of those around , so you could say that a picture is partly "invented" these pixels are named interpolated pixels. As you can see in the image has much higher quality optical zoom digital.
In any case, when you see or read the word interpolated , refers to this pixel "fabricated."
