My interest in Oasis was just circumstantial during those years and Wonderwall Do not Look Back in Anger sounded all the time on radio and heavy rotation on MTV . It was the mid-90s and never had any enthusiasm for these songs (perhaps a preference for the latter). Recently, due to other events and found out almost a year after the consummation of the separation of the group led by the Gallagher brothers, I started listening to the compilation of singles Time Flies ... 1994-2009. This is a double album, for me, full of surprises. Yes, of course, there were Live Forever, Some Might Say , Champagne Supernova and the aforementioned issues. But what was that about The Importance of Being Idle , or power The Hindu Times. Even the fragility of 'm Outta Time and the hypnotic rhythm of Go Let It Out and already in full psychedelic revival, Who Feels Love. There was an oasis that was not the most obvious and best known. You can hate or love, or simply listen as one of the best working bands since the Beatles melodies here, and what is no less sound.
Some key points on Oasis:

Include dry turning Gas Panic! , one of the more unfortunate titles in the history of music for a song that has lines more provocative than the average output of the band include, by way of example, "'Cause my family don't seem so familiar / And my enemies, all know my name. " This is how the best lyrics of Noel: not as a whole, but offering images in a few lines here and there with a strange hypnotic power, a sense of unfathomable cosmic truth.
/ Heathen Chemistry (2002), was the album that finally exasperated the press. Many gave up for dead any intention of the band that once had stood Wonderwall. But the evidence I refer: The Hindu Times Force Of Nature, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Songbird (Liam song that revolves solely around the passage Sol-E minor), Little By Little, Born On a Different Cloud (Liam again, never so close to channeling Lennon as here), Better Man Each overwhelming critical rescued least one or two of the above issues gems that were lost as a disc without a soul. The funny thing is that changing critical, changing the choice of the jewels of the album. If anything sins Heathen Chemistry is a certain lack of conceptual unity, but neither was this never the forte of Oasis. And it serves instead to close down one stage.
/ Do not Believe The Truth (2005) was the album that reconciled them with criticism. When everyone expected a return to one of the first two Oasis albums, the band unveiled a hard disk half English, neoclassical and hard half of American roots folk. Should not be fooled by the single Lyla (either by the numbers Stones ): Turn Up The Son and Love Like A Bomb and shake the listener's preconceived perception. But The Importance Of Being Idle (which refers to the Kinks, but also in tone and in a rather oblique, the Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite Lennon ) the song that joins perfectly sound English with the anachronistic power of a track sung by Noel and built on a strangely dry and contagious melody. So powerful is this court that while the rest of the songs have a strange brightness own extemporaneous quality, Guess God Thinks I'm Abel, Part of the Queue and Keep the Dream Alive become a complement, even if 90% of the bands in the world would have at least one of these themes in their repertoire. The closure is a ballad-duet, Let There Be Love third single and perhaps a little surprising jump record of previous issues (this song has a lot more than Oasis's last album, but this is no demerit for course).
/ The last studio album was title Dig Out Your Soul (2008). It is clearly a transitional album that after the abrupt leaves the final question of where that path would have taken. Noel said he sought to compose songs based more on a sense of groove and here is over the bridge with the old disk: no folk, people, issues sound like a band of the seventies in which even we, with a little imagination listen to the Animals and Santana. Noel also said that more than Pink Floyd on this album than previous ones, but most notorious is the portion of the Doors. The Bag boot it up, and The Turning Waiting For The Rupture suggests a darker album. Not in a gothic: a disc with soft lights and a band rocking rhythmic pulse coupling voices, trying to experience with drums and sounds that refer to a kind of ritual atmosphere, cavernous. The advance single, The Shock Of The Lightning is as effective as recognizable: there is nothing new to say and more power to be granted, has no element of surprise. Different is the matter with Falling Down, the third single that has permeated the general atmosphere of the album, even if it has a particularly striking chorus. ( Get Off Your) High Horse Lady and To Be Where There's Life bring a bit of psychedelia to the rhythmic pulse dominant and the real surprise came this time from the hand of Liam with two cuts: the last song of the album, Soldier On , which within the lineage of the album has a catchy melody and as soon as an epic production that sounds like a night off, a cult classic, and of course, his tribute to Lennon (has one disk at least) with the excellent ballad I'm Outta Time . Perhaps this last is the final song as a songwriter Liam, at least within the Oasis. The retro sound, the melody perfectly calibrated and fragile and emotional performance conspire in a result that probably no one would have expected.
